Domestic violence victim thanks Ambode for financing surgery

A victim of domestic violence, Mary Sunday, who was assaulted by her fiancé, a police officer, Isaac Gbanwuan, has commended Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State for sponsoring her treatment in India. Mary (32), who also thanked top officials of the state, said she got N9.5 million from the state government to cover part of her reconstructive surgery as a result of burns.

Youth AccountabilityParliament (YAP) is an initiative of WARDC. This Parliament is indeed a shadow Parliament of a parliamentary system of government. The essence of YAP is to build the capacity of both young women and men, to engage in governance processes at the local government levels.
