#WOMANIFESTO: WHAT NIGERIAN WOMEN WANT
In 2019, over 1,000 individual women and women’s institutions under the auspices of the Feminist Womanifesto platform articulated a Charter of Demands by Nigerian women.
Upholding the dream of a Nigeria that protects, respects and remedies violations of women’s human rights, gender discrimination, and maintains zero tolerance to sexual and gender-based violence, a group of women-led and women-focused organizations came together to organize a National Women Dialogue for the purpose of generating a collective agenda towards a common cause around which a movement could emerge.
