MISSION STATEMENT

 WARDC’s mission is to work in solidarity with women’s human rights defenders across Africa to build cultures of gender equality, justice, and equitable access for all women and girls. We advance this mission through advocacy, litigation, policy reform, and community-driven initiatives that promote equal treatment, uphold confidentiality, and protect the dignity and rights of every woman and girl. Our social objectives include eliminating gender-based violence, strengthening women’s leadership, supporting vulnerable groups such as survivors and returnees, and fostering inclusive, safe, and just communities.
